HOT Mining wants to replace conventional drill-and-blast operations in low heights. That's why it introduced its ROCK SHORTWALL SYSTEM, low seam deposits and reefs of hard rock minerals.
The ROCK SHORTWALL SYSTEM combines the use of a hard rock shearer (Hard Rock Shearer, Brand: LWS which is also hold by HOT Mining), a hard rock chain conveyor and a hard rock bridge stage loader.
This allows it to deliver simultaneous cutting, loading and hauling—controlled by the automation system.
ROCK SHORTWALL SYSTEM, which represents the second continuous hard rock mining platform that can be operated in a fully automatic mode, is now commercially available (The first system is developed by CAT).
